Estimate disclaimer

Planning ranges, not quotes

The estimate layer is included to show the decision value: comparing ideas before money is committed. The numbers are deliberately conservative planning ranges, not finished pricing infrastructure.

Important estimate disclaimer

TarePlan estimates are early planning ranges. They are not contractor quotes, appraisals, inspections, engineering guidance, code guidance, permit guidance, or guaranteed prices.

Materials

Mock national averages for walls, openings, furniture, rugs, plumbing objects, and surface finishes.

Labor

Early labor assumptions split from materials so future ZIP multipliers can replace them.

Change cost

Mark existing creates a baseline, then TarePlan emphasizes the estimated cost of what changed.

Confidence

Ranges are intentionally broad because the current prototype does not inspect real site conditions, local code, or hidden damage.

Before spending money

Use estimates to compare ideas, not to approve a construction budget.
Confirm measurements, materials, permits, and feasibility with qualified professionals.
Expect local labor, access, hidden damage, availability, and scope changes to move the number.
Treat contractor bids and product quotes as the source of truth before spending money.
Do not use early planning ranges for code, permit, structural, electrical, or plumbing approvals.

Product direction

The goal is to make uncertainty smaller before money is spent. Planned versions can connect estimates to ZIP aware pricing data, real product catalogs, contractor reviewed scopes, and clearer confidence labels.
